Hi I'm Emily

I teach High School. I dance, sing, paint, write, love movies, castles, and doing community theater. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am your typical single girl, late twenties, an outgoing introvert depending on my mood haha. I graduated from college with a Bachelors in Deaf Studies and an Associates in Elementary Education. I currently work as a high school ASL teacher. In my free time I love to watch movies and read novels, sing, paint, ride horses, dance, go to the theater/be in community plays, spend time with family, travel, go fishing, and take long walks through the countryside.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is my strength, my peace, my joy, and my purpose. Without my faith in the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I would not be where I am today. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has given me the hope and the means to carry on through times when I was barely hanging on by a thread. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I have felt the powerful spirit of his truth burn within my heart and fill me with peace. I know that God speaks to His prophet today and that he holds the true keys of the gospel which Christ gave his apostles when on the earth. I believe with all my heart in the doctrine of eternal families. I know that because of the power of the Priesthood which the church holds, we are able as families to be bonded together with the power of God in a way that will allow us to live forever as a family even after we leave this earth as long as we remain faithful. The gospel is real, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is real, Jesus was/is the Christ, Joseph was/is a true prophet, the priesthood is real, and everyone may be made clean through the atonement of Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be an elect lady like Emma Smith. I truly look up to the courage, faith, and strength that she and her husband, the Prophet Joseph Smith, shared and radiated throughout their lives. I strive to be prayerful and grateful for all of the many blessings that the Lord has blessed me with every day. I work to be hopeful and optimistic in order to lift others spirits and help them feel good about themselves, while keeping the faith and hope for my own future and the love that the Lord has for me personally as His daughter.
