Hi I'm Elisa

I grew up in Utah. I am a cancer survivor of eighteen years. I am a friend, a sister, and a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am 19 years old living in Utah. I am currently studying to become a research scientist in biology. I love to be outdoors hiking, running, skiing, and exploring. I completed my first marathon last year and I am training to run a half marathon for my birthday! When I was ten months old I was diagnosed with Leukemia. I am blessed and grateful to say that I have been cancer free for eighteen years and I have lived a healthy, happy life. I love to laugh and spend time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church and as a teenager began to understand that I needed to choose for myself whether or not I believed in the teachings of the Gospel. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and take the prophet Moroni's challenge, which is "that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." As I did this, the Holy Ghost testified to me that the book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith restored Christ's gospel back to the earth. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father who loves me and cares about my well being. I know that I have been sent here to this earth to gain a body and become prepared to meet my Father once more. I know that Jesus Christ is my Redeemer. Through His Atonement I can repent of my sins and be clean once more. Because of Christ's Crucifixion on the cross and Resurrection in the tomb I can live once more. Through obedience to the commandments and enduring to the end I can live eternally with my family. I love this gospel and I am grateful for the opportunity I have to share it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending my church meetings every Sunday. I am a family history consultant in my ward. I am so excited to serve in the New Hampshire Manchester mission starting July 30th. As a missionary i will move to New Hampshire for a period of 18 months and serve the people there. I will help people come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and his Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end.
