Hi I'm Blaine

I love to sing, I believe in living with gusto, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI! My name is Blaine. I'm from Utah. I recently graduated from high school. I'm currently serving a full-time proselyting mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love singing and I do so frequently. I love music, especially choral music. I also love the theatre, and I've had experience acting and a little experience directing. Most of my acting experience has been with the works of Shakespeare. I'm also a science and math nerd. I love physics, calculus, and biology. I enjoy problem-solving with math and physics, and I am fascinated by DNA, proteins, cells, and other biological phenomena. I believe in being positive and enthusiastic whenever possible. I also really love neckties.

Why I am a Mormon

Originally, I was raised into the Church by my family. As I've grown, I've had experiences by which I know for myself this to be Christ's true church. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I felt the Spirit of God witness to me that this is true. I know that God the Father and Jesus Christ are real and that they love each person on this earth with an infinite love. I have felt the love of God through prayer and the study of the scriptures. God has spoken to me through the Book of Mormon, and I have felt His Spirit while reading it. As I prepared to serve a mission for the Church, I felt the Spirit of God and the joy it brings. I have felt the benefits of having God's Spirit with me. While I still have questions and doubts, I put my faith in Christ and I trust that those will be resolved in due time. As I have put my faith in Christ, I have been blessed with guidance and comfort from the Spirit of God. I have felt the love and joy of God testify to me that this church is His church. My faith in Christ gives me confidence and peace. I testify of this in the name of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am serving a full-time proselyting mission in Hong Kong for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a missionary, I invite the people of Hong Kong to come unto Christ. With my companions, I teach people the Gospel of Jesus Christ and invite them to follow Him and be baptized into His church. Christ taught the importance of love, kindness, and service. I've tried to be a kind and loving person throughout my life. I try to be friendly to everyone and to reach out to people in need. I hope to become better at treating others with love as I live my life. I've attended church weekly on Sundays my whole life. I've studied the Book of Mormon and other books of scripture by myself and with my family. As a teenager, I participated in weekly church youth activities. While I was in high school I attended seminary classes where I studied the Bible and the Book of Mormon, as well as other books of scripture and words of modern-day prophets.
