Hi I'm Sister Fretzie Bohol

I'm from Philippines and a Filipina. I'm 22 years old and called to serve in the Philippines Urdaneta Mission December 2014-2016.

About Me

Hello, I'm Fretzie from Philippines. I love working with the missionaries. I'm an undergraduate student and as of now I stopped schooling since I'm preparing for my mission. I am called to serve in the Philippines Urdaneta Mission and will leave to Philippine MTC on December 5. I So, I'm supposedly in my 3rd year in college taking the course of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Special education. I'm a shy type of person but once you know me I'm not I'm quite talkative. I'm a friendly person.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm so much grateful to Heavenly Father that I have the true gospel because through the gospel, learning on it I grow spiritually and I'm no longer worried in every trials I encountered. The Book of Mormon is where I find gain strength because whatever I asked to Heavenly Father I found the answer. I know that we have a living prophet in our days and I'm so much grateful that we have the Atonement. The reason why I have the desire to go on a mission because I love Jesus Christ so much and I want to help Him Hastening His work. I want to help other people who doesn't yet know about the gospel to preach to them and let them know how Heavenly Father loves them so much. I want to let them experience what I feel the happiness, true happiness that temporal things here on earth can be exchange. I want them to come Unto Christ and be baptized in the true church. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saint is the true church of Christ. It's not yet too late for them to gain the true happiness. I want them to be back in the presence of our dear Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I want them to feel the joy they could get through the fulness of the gospel. That's why I'm a Mormon because I know I found the true happiness in my life and through all the trials I've been through, Heavenly Father was there for me always in my side never let me feel alone. And the teachings in the church help me to be Christlike.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a Music Director in the Young Women Organization in our Ward at the same time I'm a Ward Missionary. At first I'm afraid to receive this kind of calling because I might not able to manage and magnify my calling but then I'm so much grateful that I have this kind of calling. I'm not really good in Music and my weakness is to show myself in public everytime my young women will sing. But through this, my shyness I was able to overcome and I gain confidence on it. The songs in the church I find it very inspiring and it inspired me a lot because every time I listen to its lyrics and the tune of it makes me feel so peace, can invite the Holy Ghost as well. It comforts me every time I'm sad. Working with the missionaries is really great because through working with them, my testimony grows and as my testimony grows the people investigator, my friends I can bear my testimony to them which can also touch their hearts. Being a ward missionary is such a blessing to me because I can help the missionaries and the people I met.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Sister Fretzie Bohol
I don't think we as Mormons only help Mormons. As what Jesus Christ taught us help one another, to extend our help to non-members. We are taught to have charity and because we have the pure love of Christ, members and non-members, we as Mormons are here to help everyone. Show more Show less
