Hi I'm Ingrid

I'm an activist, doula, writer, art history lover, and beekeeper. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Bryn Mawr College in art history and am serving as a missionary in the Maryland Baltimore Mission very soon. I love expressions of creativity like art and music (and for me, lipstick choice) because I believe creativity connects us all to our creator. I mostly grew up in Utah, where the mountains make my heart sing and where my wonderful parents, three sisters, and little brother are leading remarkable lives of their own. I love talking about ideas and having opinions, and being in a classroom makes me very happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The church has given me a forum to serve and connect with God's children as their spiritual sister, which is a true joy, and has given me the tools to get to know God and become spiritually connected to the world around me. What could be more important and wonderful? Being Mormon fills my life with joy today and I believe it will continue to forever, and understanding the power of Jesus Christ's atonement as well as having the companionship of the Holy Ghost and understanding Their love for me brings me through every challenging trial and heartache. Living with faith has opened my eyes to the wonder and magic that fills the world around me, and I know that I can keep learning and growing in faith and joy for as long as I have a desire to.

How I live my faith

Soon I'll be living my faith full-time as a missionary! That is an experience I have looked forward to my whole life. It's truly an honor and a joy to have been called to do the important work of giving everyone I meet an opportunity to get to know the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Mormon church and I look forward to the power that will come with working and studying as hard as I can and being more spiritually connected than I ever have before.
