Hi I'm Jessica Dee

I'm a ballerina, snow cone connoisseur, and missionary to be. I love animals, cinematography, and rainy days. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an older sister to two boys and a cairn terrier, Fiona. I have grown up in various cities in Utah and attended Southern Utah University for two semesters studying dance and science. I am now preparing to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Belgium and The Netherlands. When I am not preparing for my mission I enjoy reading, cooking, hiking, movie watching, and playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to goodly parents who love the Lord and raised me in the Gospel . . . but it wasn't until I experienced some of my most personal trials that I learned how much we need the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives. When I have had an aching heart or a mind full of doubts, I put my faith in the Lord. I've prayed to Him to know who I am and what my purpose is. I testify that He is always with me in those dark hours and He softens my heart. Through the Holy Ghost He showed me that His plan is the only pattern of living that will bring me peace in this life and enable me to return to Him again. He has shown me the miraculous blessings that are a direct result of righteous living. He has helped me understand that He has a plan for me, as He does for all of His children. Above all, He has told me that He loved me enough to send His son to die for me. His love is unrequited. I know that when I feel lost or confused or alone He is always with me. I know that it is because of the fullness of the Gospel that I can experience healing, forgiveness, comfort, hope, and complete conversion to my Savior, Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my roots. It is my anchor. It is my everything.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in small and simple ways. I study the scriptures. I attend church meetings each Sunday. I listen to music that is uplifting. I find opportunities to serve my brothers and sisters. I had the great privilege of serving in leadership positions in my young women's organization and I found much joy in being their mentor and their friend. I also was called as a ward choir pianist where I could bear my testimony through song. Currently I have a calling as a compassionate service leader and I enjoy serving others who need a helping hand. I have been fortunate enough to travel and attend camps and intensives with many non-members. I live my faith by sharing my beliefs with these dear friends, by showing them that I live the commandments and standards I uphold to be true, and by loving them. Perhaps my favorite way to live my faith is by praying to my Heavenly Father. What a blessing it is to know that I can speak to God and that He will answer my prayers.
