Hi I'm Austin

I´m currently serving as a missionary in the Spain Malaga Mission, and I´m a lover of Canada.

About Me

I'm the eldest child of my family, and have recently been called to serve in a mission in Spain. I am a proud Canadian, and there is nothing I love more than the gospel of Jesus Christ, or my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in this church since I was born, but I truly believe it to be true. I am constantly trying to do what Christ would have me do, and though it is challenging, it is also very rewarding. Being a Mormon is something a little bit peculiar today in my age group, as many high school students and individuals attending college/university like to participate in activities such as drinking, or drugs, or other potentially harmful activities/substances. I tend to stand out, more than I fit in, which is a good thing. The Savior of the world was never content to simply "go with the flow" , he definitely stood out. I'm grateful for the opportunity to try and help others to come unto Christ. I truly believe that I am very privileged to have grown up having the gospel in my life. I believe that I have grown to be a better person as I have used the Atonement to repent, and I am eternally grateful to Jesus Christ for dying for all our sins. He was truly an eternal example that everyone can look up to.

How I live my faith

I am a priest in my local ward (congregation). I help administer the sacrament to the members of my ward. Every Sunday, I visit the home of an elderly man who is unable to make it out to church every week due to various health problems. The joy I receive while serving is a feeling like no other. It is truly remarkable that by putting others before ourselves, how we are able to grow through the pure love of Christ.
