Hi I'm Glenn T. Walker

I'm a Mormon

About Me

I grew up in Eastern Idaho on a farm, in addition my father started a sporting goods business that I enjoyed helping with. We raised crops and cattle on the farm and sold boats, RV's and motorcycles at the sports shop. I am the middle child of five and have always enjoyed the outdoors and nature. My desire to farm economically didn't make sense so I moved towards the business instead. I served a church mission in the Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh area in the early 80's and fell in love with the good people in that area. I have attended college at Ricks, BYU-Idaho in Rexburg in addition to Sierra College in California. My studies were centered on business and marketing. I currently am a General Manager of a Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealership. I am happily married and have wonderful children that I love dearly.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and as time went by I had to decide if this was a true gospel or move to something else. Prior to deciding to go on my mission I asked my father in heaven this very thing in prayer and I had a strong confirmation that it was true. I have had my challenges spiritually over the years but have a foundation in place that always keeps me going the correct direction. I love this gospel and Love my savior Jesus Christ. This church has made me a better person. The Book of Mormon is true. We have a living Prophet and 12 Apostles as the original church had all those years ago.

How I live my faith

I have served in many capacities in the church. Primary teacher, one of my favorites by the way, Sunday School Teacher, Nursery Leader, another favorite, Elder's President, Counselor in a Bishopric and currently as a second assistant in the High Priests group. One other rewarding calling is Home Teaching. I love the fact our church has a system in place to check in on members both spiritually and temporally.
