Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Magna, Utah. Sometimes I'm funny. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play piano. I absolutely love music whether I'm listening to it or creating it. I enjoy singing with large groups of people. I think it's a lot of fun. If other people's voices can drown out my terrible singing then that's perfect. The more the merrier. Also, I'm absolutely in love with MoTab. Back in high school I was a swimmer. I would be lying if I said that I loved it, but it truly was a great blessing in my life. Joining the swim team in high school really helped me figure out who I was as a person and I made so many amazing friends from it. I have yet to attend any college or university. In fact, I just graduated from Cyprus High School in June of 2014, less than two months before my admission into the MTC. I do, however, plan on attending Salt Lake Community College and enrolling in their Interpreting for the Deaf program then pursue further studies in either Business or Psychiatry and combine the two credentials into one career.

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up as a member of the church my whole life, but my testimony doesn't come from the weeks after weeks of Sunday School. My testimony comes from the witnesses that I receive when I exercise the blessings that the gospel has to offer. The Atonement that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has given me has touched my life in ways that nothing else ever could and for that I am so immensely grateful. That blessing is the ultimate testament of Heavenly Father's and Jesus Christ's love for us and I'm honored and eager to be serving a mission because I want so badly to share the that love with as many other people as I can.

How I live my faith

I've grown up in the church and have been active throughout all my years as a youth. I've held multiple leadership callings and tried to preform my priesthood duties as often and as effectively as necessary. Obedience has always been an important principle to me. I show my faith through my adherence to what God expects of me. Blessings flow when I keep the commandments of my Heavenly Father.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Jordan
The Atonement is the epitome of acts of love. It is the tool we use to perfect ourselves and become more like Christ. No greater sacrifice has ever been made by anybody ever. The great thing about that great sacrifice is that it was made for all of mankind. It was made for the sake of all of our salvation. It was made because Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. Without the Atonement we would have no hope for happiness and salvation in either this life or the next. There are few things that I am more grateful for than Jesus Christ's Atonement for our sins and imperfections. Show more Show less
