Hi I'm Charly

I Love being outdoors. I Love having fun. I love going on adventures. I love being a Mormon

About Me

I love playing outdoors! All summer long my family and I are either swimming in the river, kayaking, 4-wheeling or some other wild adventure. Being outside and seeing the beauty the world has to offer is just what I love. It is so much fun for me to be doing anything wild with friends. My absolute favorite thing to do is rock climbing and I am always up for a challenge!

Why I am a Mormon

I live in a small town near a LDS college so almost everyone I know is Mormon. My parents are both very religious so my family grew up always going to church every week. At the beginning my testimony was simply built off of theirs. They believed it so I did too. But I'm realizing now that I'm getting older my own testimony is beginning to grow. As I go through trials or am put in situations I have learned that the gospel really is true. The things our prophets teach are from God and they always have our best interests in mind. I am so grateful that Jesus Christ gave his life so I can live with Heavenly Father again and be forgiven of my sins. Its nice knowing that this life isn't the end. There is more after death. More to look forward to and work towards. This church means everything to me and I am so glad my family will be together forever!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by preaching what I know and living what I preach! I'm currently serving a mission in Oklahoma City and I am loving it! Sharing a message about love and happiness is probably the greatest message to share. Before my mission I was also a activity days leader so I got to work with a group of girls 8-12 all the time and it was soo much fun!

Why do Mormons perform proxy baptisms in their temples?

Charly
We believe that everyone will have the opportunity to receive the knowledge of the gospel. Whether in this life or the next. Baptism is an important part of the gospel but dead people can't be baptized. That is why we do proxy baptisms. So that people who die without having the knowledge of the gospel can choose to accept it in the next life Show more Show less
