Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Salt Lake City Utah. I sing whenever I am not talking. I love the mountains. I am a Mormon.

About Me

The first thing you may want to know about me is that I love music! Ever since I was little, I have been performing with choirs, in musicals, and for gatherings of all sorts. I also have a great love for my family. I have grown up in a home where religion, family, and education were the top priorities. I have recently been called to serve in the Lima Peru South mission and am more than excited to have the chance to serve. I love talking about the gospel and telling people what it means to me and how I have received such joy in my life. I am a lover of the outdoors and can often be found hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, running, or any other incredibly fun outdoor activities. I also love creating things with my hands. As long as I can remember, I have been making things with my dad. We've build a playhouse, mailboxes, worked on remodeling our home, built animal cages, and much more. I find joy in creating other things leaning more towards art.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? To be honest, it is quite simple. Throughout my short life, I have come to realize what true joy is. I have come to realize that we are all children of our Heavenly Father. He loves us. He always has. He always will. I know that if we look to our Savior Jesus Christ, that we can always feel peace and joy and we will know what things we should do. I have been blessed to see the light of Christ in the eyes of many of my friends and know that there is truly a light in each and every one of us that is so desperate to come out and allow us to see with more of an eternal perspective if we only open our hearts and let it. I know that whenever we feel alone, we always have someone who will listen to us. We truly are never alone. He loves us with an endless love and if we turn our hearts to him, we will be healed. I know these things because I have seen them. Not only in my life, but in the lives of others. I know that God lives. I know that Jesus Christ suffered in Gethsemane and on the cross so that each and every one of us may have the opportunity for eternal life. I know that we all have the potential to return to our Father in Heaven in we are willing to take the steps required through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book filled with the words of God and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. I know that our Heavenly Father watches over his church today and that we are led by a true and living prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I love the gospel with all my heart and know that it is the only true church on the earth today. I challenge anyone who does not know this to read the Book of Mormon and to follow Moroni's challenge by praying to know of it's truth.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have had the incredible opportunity to serve many people in my neighborhood. At least once a month, many of our youth have the chance to participate in service projects around the neighborhood. We have many widows and widowers that live near us and we find so much joy in helping them with yard work, house cleaning, and other odd jobs that they may be in need of help with. I also have had the opportunity to be a home teacher. Over the years I have had the opportunity to serve many families in our ward as we visit them monthly and see how they are doing and what things that we can do to help them. I have so enjoyed this experience as it has taught me how important it is to look our for our fellow brethren. I am also very grateful for the home teachers that I have had throughout my life that have always been so good to my family and made sure that if we had any needs, that they would be attended to. I have learned that when we serve our fellow brethren we truly are serving our God. Through our service, we recieve blessings from him that help us to move forward in life with a greater desire to serve and a greater joy from doing it.
