Hi I'm Colton

I love to play the piano, read books, and spend time with my friends and family. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fifth member of six kids. I absolutely love to play the piano and have been doing so for many years now. I also enjoy singing, reading, creative writing, exercising, and playing board games with my family. I relish in learning new things, and tend to spit out random facts from time to time. I live in Arizona and love hiking, and being outside...when it's not so hot anyway. I have received my Eagle Scout and have been so blessed to be a member of this wonderful church. I love my parents who have raised us in a family oriented home, and taught me the value of such environments.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the truth I have found here, and the comfort I have felt and continue to feel through the Holy Ghost. I have read the Book of Mormon, I have prayed about it throughout the course of reading it, and have felt time and time again that it is true. Not only that, but this church just makes so much sense. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father, and I know that he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we may live with him again. I know that the gospel has been restored in its fullness through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that this church is led by a living prophet today. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that families can be together forever. This church has changed my life forever and I can't even imagine what I would be like without it. I am so grateful that I was able to grow up with loving parents that have been faithful followers of this church. I am so grateful for their testimonies and those of my siblings that have sustained me until I could receive one of my own. I am truly grateful for this gospel, and how blessed I have been to have it encompass me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

By being an example to those around me. New friends I make often learn quickly that I am a Mormon simply by the way I act and the things I do. I try as hard as I can to serve those around me, and do my best to follow the example that Christ has laid down for us. I go home teaching each month, visiting the homes of those in our ward to whom we are assigned, and have learned much from those experiences. I also attempt to fulfill any calling I am given in this church to the best of my abilities. Reading my scriptures and praying each day help me to focus on what is most important in life, and always remind me of the immeasurable love our savior Jesus Christ, and our Heavenly Father have for us. This is an enormous comfort to me, and facilitates any trial that crosses my path.
