Hi I'm Tamy Beagles

I was born and grew up in Brazil but currently I live in Utah. I'm a wife and soon-to-be mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Almost 2 years ago I made the choice of living my family, friends and country to get married and live somewhere where I would have to learn the language, meet new people, make new friends, and learn a new culture and new traditions. It was tough but it was worth it. Today I'm a happy wife and soon-to-be a mom. This huge change in my life didn't change the person I used to be. I still keep my family traditions and my culture. I still like the same things I used to like before such as soccer, Brazilian music, Brazilian food, birthday parties, BBQ with the family, and things like that.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this gospel. My parents got baptized when I was 2. Growing up I knew everything I was learning about this gospel was true because my parents knew they were until one day I decided to obtain my own testimony. I had never felt so loved when I received it. My Heavenly Father wanted me to know everything by myself and he did answer my prayer. My testimony did not come in one day and it is still growing today but since that day I know I will always have somebody that I can count on. My Heavenly Father will always be there for me. He sent his son to teach us and lead us on the right path. He sacrificed His own son so we can all be able to repent of our sins and go back to His presence one day. I am a Mormon because I believe in this gospel and everything it teaches us. I am a Mormon because I believe families can be together forever. I am a Mormon because I believe that we have a true prophet today just like we did before called from God to lead us on the right path. I have faith in my Heavenly Father. He answered my prayer and it never felt so good to know that He was there listening to me when I really needed Him.

How I live my faith

When I was in Brazil I used to teach the kids and youth about things that would help them live the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is really hard trying to choose the right when everything and everybody else are trying to make you choose the opposite. I am not perfect but just like other people I had some experiences that taught me how strong I am or can be when I have to face things like that. To be able to share those experiences with the kids and youth helped me even more to know that I have a perfect and loving Heavenly Father who will always be with me. I try everyday to be a better person by learning more about our Savior's life. There is no better way to do that. Jesus Christ is the perfect example of faith, obedience, service, kindness, charity, and love. We should all try to be more like him.
