Hi I'm Savanah Bryant

I was born and raised in Cedar City, Utah. I live in Oklahoma right now as a missionary for the LDS Church. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I play violin, piano, guitar, and I love to sing, not very well, but I just need to practice. :) I want to learn how to play a lot more instruments and continue to get better with the ones I already know how to play. I am currently serving in the Oklahoma Oklahoma spanish speaking mission. I love being a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and sharing the Gospel with others. I have a big family and I love spending time with them. I am number 8 out of 10 kids. We adopted my little brother and sister April on the 1, 2014. I love being an older sister, and a younger sister. I love to read and help others. I love my mission and everyone that I have met and will yet meet. And I love being a mormon :)

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life, I've gone through struggles of my own. When I was in 9th grade, I had to find out for myself if this Gospel was true. Growing up in the Gospel, my family has always said family prayers and we always said prayer before dinner. We always went to church and had family home evenings. But, eventually, I needed to get down on my knees and ask, for myself, if this was true. But it took a lot of things before I actually got myself to kneel down in prayer. I was starting down my own path and it was hard. I don't think I've ever struggled so much in my life until this point in my life. I wasn't happy anymore, I got frustrated easier. One day, I was feeling like the day was not going to go right in anyway. During School, I went to my seminary Class and we were reading 3 Nephi 11 and the verse that stood out to me was 14. It's when Christ visit the Americas. And I was thinking about it all day. Until I got home, and i forced myself to get down on my knees and pray. At that moment, all my doubts and fears went away. I felt happy and peaceful. I felt as if someone was wrapping me up in a nice big great hug and telling me that everything was going to be alright as long as I followed his teachings and kept the commandments. I will always be grateful for that day in seminary. And I am a mormon :)

How I live my faith

Every day, I take an hour and study out of my scriptures, or preach my Gospel and any other tools that the Lord has given me in order to strengthen my faith in him. And Serving a mission has helped me learn many different ways on how to strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. It's taught me to look for the smallest of miracles and be grateful for them in every circumstance. Especially on the really hard, stressful days. I've learned how to rely on the Lord more during my Challenges. Anytime I'm struggling, I kneel down and pray and ask him to give me the strength to get through this hard time. One thing my dad told me was that "If the Lord doesn't change the situation you are in, he will at least give you the strength to endure them." I know that when we ask for strength, and have faith that he will answer our prayers, he will make our burdens lighter. He will help us through everything. I know that my savior loves me and has helped me. He helps me feel peace every Sunday as I go to church and in Sacrament Meeting. He does this because he cares and loves all of us so very much.
