Hi I'm Nate Teahan

I grew up in Utah. I am currently serving a 2 year mission in Bolivia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a regular 18 year old guy. I love the outdoors and I love to get an adrenaline rush! :) My ultimate goal is to go bungee jumping over the Panama Canal :) I have an interest in filming and making videos. Someday I want to be able to travel all over the world and capture all its beauty, which there is a lot of! I am serving a mission right now in Bolivia and plan to attend BYU after my mission is over.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad is a convert to the church. He came to Utah when he was 19, and he came from a very Anti-LDS family. He immediately started causing trouble with the missionaries, until one day he had a question that he wanted answered from them. They said exactly what he wanted to hear. He slowly became interested in the church and was one day baptized. When he became a member of this church, he lost everything. His parents wanted nothing to do with him, he lost his car, his schooling wasn't getting paid for, etc.. But his faith stayed the same and eventually his family softened up. Since then his family has had many trials, and seeing how he can be comforted through all of it is amazing compared to how the rest of his family reacts. He is the only one out of his whole family who basically has a normal life. His testimony and his stories strengthened me as a youth growing up and continue to do so today. I'm a Mormon because I know that this gospel can bring true happiness and comfort in times of trial.

How I live my faith

I live my faith because I love it. It helps me in times of struggle because I know I will never truly be alone. I really believe that the best way to spread the gospel is just by being a good example. It is easy to get caught up in the chaos of the world these days, so it can make so much more of an impact on someone if you just do a simple act of kindness for them. It means that much more. You don't always have to be verbal in order to spread the message of the gospel. Just being a disciple of Christ and living like we are supposed to can be an even bigger impact to those around us.
