Hi I'm Michelle

Born in South Dakota in '71, Moved to Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, then onto FL in '85. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Married in 1993, still married to the same guy...we have 2 sons, ages 14, 7. I have had several jobs in the past ranging from a cook in a retirement home-Hallmark Store-Engraver-Call center for auto emergencies-vendor for computer/video games-SAHM-currently I went back to work in 2013 as a substitute teacher. I've been involved in a lot of volunteer work such as head auxiliary member for a volunteer fire dept, fundraiser chair for the past 7 years at sons school, many other things as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Why Not? I wanted to find a church and I wanted one with meaning behind it, one that puts God and Jesus first, one that went along with what I currently thought was right. I prayed about it and here I am today! I want to make my kids proud to say that I am their mother. I see that everything I do has purpose and meaning. I have made my life better, my families life better, my friends life better, and hopefully I have done something to make someone's else's life better that I do not even know.

How I live my faith

Currently I have 3 callings in our ward. I am in charge of the bulletin board, doesn't seem like a major thing to keep up with, but at least it looks a lot better than it did without someone in this calling! I'm a primary teacher for the Valiant Sr Class. Also I am a ward missionary. When I was first baptized into the church I was a stake missionary, to which they no longer have this calling, but it is pretty much the same as a ward missionary, just do not have stake meetings with other wards like we did in the past. Also, during my first year, and while being a stake missionary, I was also called to serve as a seminary teacher. WOW.. Now that 2 major callings, and to have them at the same time was HUGE, to have them right after being baptized, even more HUGE. Back then early morning seminary met at my house at 6:30am mon-fri. I've also in the past have served in Primary as a councilor in the presidency, was acting president for a few months while ours had to take a leave for a bit, I have taught each grade level in Primary, and also served in the Nursery. I was a Sunday school teacher for the youth for a year. I think that is all I've done...can't remember..
