Hi I'm Darry Wong

I am a Malaysian Chinese and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I speak English, Cantonese and Malay. I love eating curry, watching movies and learning languages! Having been introduced to the church at age 7 and received baptism the following year, I have always been really receptive to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Attending seminary has played a huge role in my developing a love of reading the scriptures. I have decided when I was young that I will serve a mission. At age 19, I was called to serve in the China, Hong Kong mission and boy was that the best decision of my live! I love my mission, I love the gospel and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

Conversion doesn't come quickly or in the way we wanted it. It comes step by step. There are times in my life where I was troubled by how little I know of the gospel. I've learnt that in times like this to be still and know that God is ever with us. He will lead us, guide us and help us. I bear testimony that He is mindful and is ever anxious to help us if we but to turn to Him in solemn prayer and in sincerity of heart. I have personally tasted the fruits of the gospel and found it to be sweet and most desirable. I invite you to have a little sample and see if you do not want more.

How I live my faith

I am a firm believer that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass. I also know that God's divine power is manifested when we perform His sacred duty. Having said that, I know of no calling that is too small to make a difference in the church. I try to magnify my calling to the best of my ability and while we are on the Lord's errand, we cannot fail. I know this to be true. My mission has taught me a lot on how to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ and although I'm still far from perfect, I am trying to improve myself each day.
