Hi I'm Janessa Cunningham

I love sports. I frequently quote movies. I've been called to serve in the Korea Busan Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from South Jordan, Utah. I have a passion for sports and I've played soccer since I was four. My favorite position to play is goal keeper. I started playing competitively around when I was ten. I played three years of high school soccer. I also played basketball for five years. I love to play and watch almost any sport. I've had so much support from my amazing parents and brother in both sports and school. I just finished my freshman year at Dixie State University. I plan on applying for their Physical Therapy Assistant program after I return from my mission. I love to learn and thanks to the gospel I can continue to learn and grow spiritually. I've grown up in the church and my life has truly been blessed by being a member of this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church, but that is not why I choose to still follow it. I am a Mormon because I have found so much peace and happiness through choosing to live the gospel. I know that we are all sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, and that he knows each and everyone of us by name. He wants us to be happy and to become like Him so we can return to live with Him again. He has a plan for us, and His timing is perfect. Putting my faith and trust in His plan and timing has strengthened my testimony of this gospel, and I am truly grateful for that.

How I live my faith

I don't know where I would be without this gospel. I receive so much strength, peace, direction, and comfort from attending all of my church meetings, reading my scriptures, praying, serving others, and attending the temple. Temple attendance as been a huge rock in my life, and has helped me to grow closer to my Heavenly Father. Continuing to strengthen and grow my testimony of this gospel is very important to me. My testimony is one of my most prized possessions, and I can't wait to have the opportunity to share it with my brothers and sisters while on my mission in Busan, Korea.
