Hi I'm Hayden Bos

I am a follower of Christ. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am just your average guy in the world trying to be the best I can be. I was born in Utah but was raised in Texas. I love all sports: ,including basketball, football, tennis, and jiu jitsu. I love the outdoors, and I love helping people out. I like to consider myself an optimist, and I love bringing smiles to other people's faces. I am currently preparing to serve a full-time mission for the London England South Mission. I live in a family of four kids: I have an older sister and two younger brothers. We fight constantly, but I love them dearly. After the mission, I will be attending school in which I plan to study mechanical engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into the Mormon faith, I needed to have my own conversion and gain a testimony that the fullness of Christ's Gospel has been restored and that the LDS church is Christ's church. Gaining a testimony is a process, but there was a climax to my conversion where the gospel felt very real in my life. During my third year of high school, I was studying the New Testament in my seminary class. I had an amazing teacher who taught me what it truly meant to love God and to love my neighbor. And it was through his example and testament that I began to act and began to receive my own personal testimony that Jesus is the Christ. Don't get me wrong, I always believed that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints is the true church; but, it wasn't until that Junior year of high school that I gained a sure knowledge. I know that my Redeemer lives. I know that He sacrificed His life to save all of ours. I know that without Him, I would not be where I am today. The Savior has truly been by my side the whole way. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he did see God the father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that through Him, the fullness of the Gospel was restored and is here today. I know that the Book Of Mormon to be a true testament of Christ, and that with this amazing book anything can be achieved. I know that Thomas S. Monson is our prophet today and that he receives modern-day guidance that will help us gain a better relationship with Christ and our loving Heavenly Father. I know this gospel is true and that it can truly bless anyone's life.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I was one of the very few members of the LDS church in school. I know the constant pressure of living the standards of the Gospel so I can be a good example of what it means to be a Mormon around my friends. And being a Mormon has truly been a blessing, as it forces me to think about whether my actions would strengthen the people around me or bring them down. I am constantly looking for ways to provide service to the people around me, whether it be my next door neighbor or someone in church. I have found that it is easiest to live my faith when I serve others.
