Hi I'm Davis Cheney

A kid from Vegas who loves beatboxing, Frozen, working-out and Runescape. Norwegian blondes are perfect. Not your typical Mormon.

About Me

I'm a big fan of being yourself even if it means standing out. I could sum up my life in 5 words: blondes, runescape, working out, beatboxing, and Frozen. And of course, I do the normal stuff like listen to music, play sports and hang-out with friends. Like my parents, I'm a convert to the church who still has doubts and unanswered questions, but who doesn't? The important thing is I believe in it enough to be serving a mission! Norway! My father died when I was the age of 12, which just left me and my mother to take on the world. We had a little help from our 2 dogs and 4 turtles though! I have an internal conflict on whether I want to be a firefighter or a personal trainer after the mission. And finally, if I could marry a Norwegian blonde girl, my life would be perfect.

Why I am a Mormon

It's weird to say, but I honestly do not know. I wasn't born into this church. My parents didn't force me to go. My life and what I enjoy, do and say aren't necessarily in harmony with the church standards, but I do try to be like the Saviour to the best of my ability. There have just been things associated with this church that I can't deny. Those things come from feeling, dreams and the people I have been blessed with by being a member of this church. People always ask, "what if you're wrong?" Well then, I spent my life helping people find happiness in what I believe is the best form of happiness in the world.

How I live my faith

I like to live my faith based off of this sentence in the scripture of John 8:5. "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." That scripture basically tells us that nobody is perfect and nobody has the right to judge anyone under any circumstances. Being chivalrous and just generally a nice guy is how I try to life my life, but of course I am far from perfect. Also another big factor is I'm currently serving a mission (2014-2016) in Norway spreading the joys and happiness that comes from the Lord's church.
