Hi I'm Brock

I am from Utah! I am an avid soccer player and love to wakeboard! Called to Serve! CHINA HONG KONG! 2014-2016!

About Me

All of my life I have been an avid sports player as well as a fan. Soccer is one sport that has helped me grow in ways other activities couldn't have. I am also very interested in BMX. It gives you time to kind of relax and enjoy your environment. My family is quite large and I being the youngest am preparing to serve in the Hong Kong China mission and I will be the 6th person in my family to serve The Lord on a full time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Being born and raised in an LDS family, it wasn't hard for me to choose to become a member of this wonderful church. The gospel which is held inside of this faith is the truest gospel on the face of this earth. I know this to be true and I wouldn't give it up for the world. When I was growing up I mainly just went through the motions and even through most of my teenage years I didn't take everything seriously, until I realized the importance of becoming closer to our Heavenly Father and also our Savior Jesus Christ. Ever since I made a commitment to become closer to Christ I have found happiness that I didn't think was possible. This happiness that this gospel holds cannot be found in any other place. It's extraordinary and it helps me to find strength to continue on through any challenges that come my way. No matter what you are going through or what you have been through our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ can heal us and make us pure again and can also strengthen us to take on any obstacle that stands in our way to becoming the best that we can be.

How I live my faith

In my ward I have been called to many different positions, but my last calling was to be an assistant to the Bishop. During this calling I helped to organize mutual activities as well as reaching out and trying to get inactive, active, and non-members to attend either meetings or activities.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

We believe that we participate these saving ordinances for those who did not have the opportunity to be baptized because it allows them to receive The Holy Ghost, something that they could not receive any other way, if and only if they choose to accept this ordinance that was performed for them.
