Hi I'm James

I've lived in 11 places in my life. I am a NCAA division I athlete. I'm an LDS missionary serving in Russia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in 11 different places including Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Georgia, Singapore, Kansas twice, Tennessee, Utah twice, and Colorado. I am a NCAA division I Track and Cross Country athlete. I am an engineering major at Southern Utah University, planning on becoming a pilot in the US Army. I am a missionary called to serve in the Russia St. Petersburg. I love people and the gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church and for awhile it was the only thing that I knew. Through my teenage years I rebelled and fell into some bad habits and bad crowds, this only led to a lot of heartache and depression. When members of the church helped me to come back I realized what happiness is really like. Learning the gospel helps me to feel Gods love and become closer to him. Being a strong member helped me to realize my own potential and realize God really does love all his children.

How I live my faith

I am a convert to the gospel, in the sense that I did not consider myself a Mormon through parts of my teenage years. Leaders and friends in the church made me realize that coming unto Christ truly brings happiness to individuals and families. My testimony is small but growing everyday, this gospel has made me so happy that I have decided to serve a mission so I can bring that happiness to others. I make an effort everyday to be closer to our heavenly father and that has brought me many blessings.

What is faith?

Faith is just another way of knowing something. In science people base their knowledge on theories, in religion we base our knowledge on faith. These are just two examples of ways people can know something. Just because something can not be seen does not that we can not feel it within ourselves. Faith is much more than a belief it's a knowledge and a trust in our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. Show more Show less
