Hi I'm Chase

I've lived in 5 states. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent high school graduate with my twin sister, and am grateful to have had the gospel in my life during that journey. I enjoy any and all sports, whether watching them or playing them. I was on the track and field team in high school and high jump was my favorite event. I also participated in football, and cross country. I enjoy an active lifestyle and love being outdoors. I will often go on hikes and camping trips, because I love being in God's creation. A dream of mine is to obtain a pilot's license. This summer I begin a new journey as I start a two year mission to Lima, Peru. I look forward to the experience and the chance to learn a new language. I wish to serve my Heavenly Father and bring His children closer unto Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there are truths found in this gospel that are not found anywhere else. I am an open-minded individual, and every time I open myself up to new ideas or beliefs, I ponder them. Every conclusion that I come to leads back to this gospel and its principles. I know that happens because this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. He did not leave us to be alone during these times on the Earth. He has given us a living day prophet to help guide us and keep us from falling into the ways of the world. I have a testimony of eternal families. After we pass, it is not the end. Through the restored gospel, we can be with our families for all of eternity. Even though I have grown up a member of this church, I had to gain my own testimony of its truthfulness. This involved researching, questioning, pondering, and praying about the things that are taught in this church. There is true happiness and peace of the soul found in this gospel. I have been blessed innumerably by keeping the commandments and covenants of the Lord. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

During my time as a youth in the church, I had several callings that involved leading my peers. As part of those callings, I strongly believed in leading by example. To carry out this belief, I earned my Eagle Scout Award, and my Duty to God award. When our ward had a challenge to read the Book of Mormon before the end of the year, (this was announced in September) I read the Book of Mormon. I am a graduate of Seminary, which is a scripture study class held early in the morning before school classes. Once a year our city holds a city-wide service day, which I have participated in four years and counting. I love the people that I serve with and want to help and see them succeed.
