Hi I'm Sharon

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the mother of four children, grandmother of two. I graduated from college with a degree in Business Management. I play the piano and the organ. I like to grow flowers and some vegetables. I love to travel both the small quiet countryside of Idaho and the bustling cosmopolitan cities of the world. Currently I work part time giving office support for a state agency. I recently spent four years as a middle school math tutor and loved it. I volunteer at our local food pantry. I like to go on walks and visit with friends. I'm happily married to my husband of 30 years and we are trying a new hobby together - bike riding!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in God and I believe He has a plan for each of us. That plan includes Jesus Christ. That plan includes prophets who give us guidance for these days and times. I like the feeling of having direction in my life, a feeling of purpose. I love the feeling of hope for the future. I know that life can be full of hard times. I also know that following Jesus Christ and trying my best to be like him brings peace no matter if it is a time of joy or sorrow. Jesus is my Savior and Redeemer. I believe the truths found in one of my favorite hymns, "My weakness in mercy he covers with power, and walking by faith, I am blest every hour". The Lord truly is my light and that is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily thing. I find that the more I remember Jesus Christ the better I feel. To me, remembering Jesus Christ can mean literally thinking of his life or even reminding myself to be more kind or forgiving and less judgmental. Some of my habits include regular prayer, reading scriptures, church attendance, and worship in our Mormon Temples. Including my family in these habits is important to me. I serve in my church community as a leader in our women’s organization. It is called Relief Society. One of my favorite things about this organization is our goal to look for those in need and offer help.
