Hi I'm Matthew

I am a proud member of the LDS church, born and raised in Riverton, Utah.

About Me

I have been blessed to have the gospel my entire life and am so glad my parents remain faithful to the sacred promises they have made, allowing me to be born into the covenant. I am very excited to share the gospel with others so they too can share the joy I experience every day. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer for my high school, hiking the major mountains in the Salt Lake Valley, backpacking up in the Uintahs and golfing. My goal in life is to be married in the temple and raise a family right here in Salt Lake.

Why I am a Mormon

At the beginning of my life I was simply a Mormon because my parents were. As I got older, I slowly obtained a testimony through various spiritual experiences that helped reassure to me that the LDS church really was the only true church on the Earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending the many church meetings and activities managed by the church. I attend a three hour church meeting each sunday, usually participating in blessing the sacrament. As preparation for serving a mission I have taught numerous classes to other teens about my age. As a family we hold Family Home Evening on Monday nights. This could include a variety of things including small lesson or just a walk with the family. Finally, I try to attend the temple once every one or two weeks. This is probably my most favorite thing to do as it is always very peaceful and spiritual.
