Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a missionary in Chile who loves to laugh, learn, and be outside - and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a student at Brigham Young University for a year, but I am taking a break from my schooling to serve the people of Chile as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love to laugh and spend time with my family. Being outside and playing sports with friends is something that I have always loved to do, whether it is skiing, soccer, basketball, running, or playing capture the flag. I recently learned how to play the guitar and I love it! I hope to go into some field in the medical field, possibly physical therapy, when I get back from my mission. Other things I am a fan of include (but are not limited to) food, chilling with friends, bonfires, drive in movie theaters, snow, the Chicago Blackhawks, and the City of Chicago.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a member of this church because my parents were members, but as I got older I stopped going because my parents wanted me to go and started going because I wanted to go. I have had rough patches and doubts, but I know that this is the true church. The gospel can bring so much joy to our lives, and it has certainly brought me joy and peace during the difficult times in life. I love this gospel. It makes me happy, and it helps me have a better perspective in life. I know the Book of Mormon is true, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a member of this church.

How I live my faith

As I mentioned earlier, on July 30 I'm leaving for Chile for 18 months to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of Chile. I have also been a leader of youth my age, I have taught classes for youth on Sundays, and I have helped plan and organize many events both large and small for the youth in the church. I have found that the best way to live my faith is simply by doing what the Christ would do and serve everyone. It doesn't always have to be big acts of service, even the smallest gesture can go a long way. I have found that I am happiest when I am serving others, and I hope to continue to serve others throughout my lifetime.
