Hi I'm Lois

I'm a former nurse, now retired. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm sealed to my husband Melvin Boland for time and all eternity. I have 3 children and 2 step-children. And I have 11 Grandchildren. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints for over 30 years! I love to volunteer and to help people. I knit, crochet, and I love to cook. My specialty is Chicken pot pie.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church because it met the needs that I had at that time. It provided answers to some of my questions and it also provided comfort of knowing that all those people who died previously can be taken care of. Because that was a big thing for me. I often wondered, what kind of religion would not make salvation available to everyone? The other important factor was that this church is very specific to what it stands and tolerates within the church. I continue to follow it because I know that the commandments which God has set out are applicable today. And the knowledge that I have regarding salvation.

How I live my faith

I have a calling in the church where I teach the women of our church once a month. And I visit other members in the area regularly. I try to reach out to those who are needy of my talents and services within the community. I strive to live the commandments and to be an example to my family & friends.
