Hi I'm Cody Jensen

I'm an Artist, fascinated with every facet of life. I love standing tall and sober in who I am. I am a Missionary.

About Me

Through my entire childhood, change has been a constant factor and in my times alone under the stars, I learned how to dream big and enjoy the adventure of life. It was during those years I could make anything I wanted out of Legos, be the mightiest warrior on the block with just a bamboo stick and a cape, and imagine up whole universes of fantasy with only a piece of paper and a pen, or explore different realities in books. I've experienced many different life styles and made a lot of friends. It was in these years I learned to discern quality experiences from hollow ones. I've performed a lot of different music on different stages and I used to dream of sharing my music by touring the world. Since then, I've decided that while creating and sharing art is still what I want to do with my life, the flow will be different. I plan on pursuing greater experience in multimedia fields of work so I can share uplifting art with the world through all types of lenses. I love helping with charity and I want to tour the world through acts of service. That same nerdy kid who loves Legos and looks at the stars with wonder still perseveres and dreams big. I am now an Arizona Mesa Missionary and I trust the Lord to guide my future on through eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

"We are always in a state of creation, we create on a subconscious level with our thoughts. We create on an active level through our actions, through our decisions. Having been created of God, we are creators by our very nature. As we observe our Father in Heaven, we create ourselves." My biggest goal in life is to become the Son my Father in Heaven wants me to be. Everyday, I prepare to take on the mantle of a faithful husband to my future wife and father to my future children because I know that's what God wants and that's what will help me find the most permanent joy. I know that the best way to help this happen is to make sure I'm following all of Heavenly Father's commandments. I use to think they were burdens, but now I see how they allow so much freedom and happiness. As a Missionary, I've really come to understand how service helps you find your purpose in life. In Mathew 16:25, it says; for whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. I never understood that scripture until I tried it. For so long I was worried about myself and where I was. That's why I was stuck. As we sacrifice our own will for God's will, he shows us how we can improve. The best part is it takes work. Our whole life is a time to prepare to meet God. Through the ups and downs he's with us. He knows our hearts and our needs. As we turn to him in faith, he shows us all things. We create ourselves through him.

How I live my faith

"It's a dangerous business Frodo; going out your door. You step onto the road and if you don't keep your feet, well, there's no knowing where you might get swept off to." - Bilbo Baggins There was a time in my life where I was lost, searching for happiness, for belonging. I had no real purpose, just the pursuit of temporary things that left me feeling hollow. I had forgotten who I was and I almost lost my life to addiction because of it. It was at the end of this rope that I was finally humble enough to reach out to God. I had thought for so long I wasn't good enough to pray, that he wouldn't want to hear from me because of what I'd done and the people I'd hurt through my selfish habits. It amazed me the night I learned how wrong I was. Jesus Christ paved the way for us to return to live with Heavenly Father through his Atonement. Heavenly Father has a plan for us and it's through reaching out in faith that we better ourselves and more fully feel his love. There is nothing like the feeling of being freed from a dark past. It's delicious and it makes my very spirit threaten to burst! I am a sober child of Heavenly Father and I have been given a second chance. I'm a Mormon because I have hope for a better future, one where I can change and help others in their need. My family can be together forever through God's plan! We aren't alone. Heavenly Father knows us all individually and he wants us to reach our potential. As I pray to him and study the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I learn how this can be, and that's the most beautiful thing I can imagine.
