Hi I'm Savanna

I converted 2/7/14, I grew up in North Carolina. I love the beach, the mountains, and visiting new places. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a sophomore in college, I will be serving in the England London mission beginning in June of 2018. I love the gym, the beach and going to school! I love trying new foods and venturing outside of my comfort zone. My favorite thing to do is volunteer my time to serve others, especially those who struggle with mental health disabilities.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I know that this church is the true church, I began exploring the church because my member friends had something that I wanted, HOPE! As I took the lessons and learned more I just new that it was the true church, it has turned my life around so much! I love this church! Today, I continue to follow this gospel because regardless of my imperfections, it makes me feel so loved. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me, and I know that He loves us all no matter what. I know that Joseph Smith was called of God to translate (not write) the Book of Mormon and that because he did that we are able to learn every day from both the Bible and the Book of Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by studying my scriptures every day and serving the Lord through helping all of his children!

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Savanna
Absolutely not! As members of a Christian religion we are instructed to love ALL of God's children equally. This means serving all of those around us regardless of religious background, or anything that may make us different. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Savanna
To learn if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true church here on Earth it is important that you take the time to learn the truth about Mormonism, (I recommend through meeting with the missionaries) and through reading the Book of Mormon. Once you have learned these things in your mind, ask Heavenly Father to testify of them to you in your heart. Faith is a combination of the two, not one without the other! Be patient and do not become overwhelmed if you do not understand something. I have been a member since 2014 and there is still so much that I do not know. It is very important to continue learning and growing and keeping the commandments of God once you get an answer to your prayers. Remember that this is an individual experience and nobody can tell you how to feel about it. Heavenly Father wants to answer you and talk to you, just like a parent here on earth. Show more Show less
