Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a gymnast, a Drum Major, and a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a high school senior this year. I love being part of my school's band. During concert season I play flute and piccolo, and during marching season I am the Drum Major. I am also on my school's gymnastics team. My favorite event is floor. I love the beach, rock music, and spending time with my friends and family. And I love being a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the Church since I was born. I was baptized when I was 8 years old, and I have been a member ever since. I love being a Mormon because it brings me great peace and hope. The Gospel of Christ brings me comfort in a world so tumultuous. My life gets pretty crazy, and the Church is always there to support me. I love the gospel because it preaches of Christ. I know my Redeemer lives, and that He is my Savior and the world's Savior. I love being a Mormon because of the Plan of Salvation, which teaches me that I have a purpose, and God has a plan for my life. I love being a Mormon because it makes me happy!

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church. I am the Laurels (girls ages 16-18) Class President. Part of that calling includes helping plan activities for the youth, and making sure the girls in my class are doing well. During the school year, I attend Seminary every morning. Seminary is an early morning scripture study class, where I have learned so much. I am also very involved in music within the church. I have played my flute for numerous performances, organized and conducted choir, and sang for many occasions. I love church music, as it easily invites the Spirit.
