Hi I'm Tyler

I grew up in the US. I like to play basketball. I am going to serve a mission in Utah. I'm and Eagle Scout. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I did two years of Running Start during high school to get my AA degree. I really enjoy playing sports like basketball and soccer. I played basketball at a very competitive level throughout high school. I am the oldest of 6 kids. I also enjoy water sports like wake boarding and swimming. I'd have to say that most of my interests are sports related. I also like to hike and fish. Every summer my family goes up to the San Juan Islands to do some salmon fishing. I like to spend time outdoors on hikes and campouts. I have earned my Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in the Church and in the Gospel. People have asked me many times if I wont be a Mormon once I am out on my own. And the answer to that is no. My friends look at my life and religion and they see rules and strict guidelines to follow. I see it another way. I see God's plan for me to be truly happy. I know this church has to full and everlasting Gospel. I know that Joseph Smith was a true Prophet called of God just like Moses and Abraham and Isaac. But most importantly I know that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world. That he died so that each and every one of us can repent and be like God once again.

How I live my faith

One of my temporary callings is to teach younger kids about the Gospel. Every Sunday I am one of two teachers that goes with a class of younger kids and teachers them about Jesus and how we can be like him. I also go home teaching. I visit a few members of the ward every month to share a lesson and provide service of needed.
