Hi I'm Sarah Hash

I'm a Utah girl who loves hiking, biking, running, exploring, spending time with family, and loving life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student who grew up in a small town in Utah and loved every minute of it! I enjoyed running cross country and track in high school, during which I gained the best group of friends anyone could ask for. In the future, I hope to get my degree in nursing, and maybe go on to be an athletic trainer for high school sports teams. I enjoy hiking through the beautiful Utah mountains and jumping into cold, high mountain lakes. I also enjoy watching a Nascar race with my dad, and sewing crazy quilts in the basement with my mom. In my spare time, I love playing the violin and piano, teasing the chickens in the backyard, playing any board game, and grabbing a hamburger and fries for lunch. I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Ecuador Guayaquil South Mission from July 2014- January 2016, and I could not be more excited! How grateful and humble I am to share the Gospel; the thing that makes me happier than anything else in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because being part of this Church brings me more happiness and joy than anything else in this world could. Because of it, I know that my family will be together forever, and that I can return to live with my father in heaven. I have felt the Holy Ghost reassure me over and over that this is the true church on the earth today. I am a Mormon because through the teachings of the Church, I grow closer to Christ. I know that it is only through Christ we can be saved. We are a very imperfect people, and we make mistakes and sin every day. But through Jesus Christ's perfect atonement, we can be washed clean! Life was never meant to be easy; at times it is incredibly difficult. But through the Gospel, we can gain lasting joy and peace. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father knows and loves me personally. Me! A 19 year old girl that has so much to learn and so much to figure out still. And I know that he will lead and guide me through the experience of life, and he will never leave me alone. I am a Mormon because I have received a witness that the Book of Mormon is true, and because of that, Joseph Smith truly was a prophet of God, and truly did restore the Church of Jesus Christ onto the earth in our day. I am a Mormon and because of that, I love the life I have been given, and I intend to enjoy every second of it! I know that it is because of my knowledge of the Gospel and of Jesus Christ that makes me so happy, and I have hope for life and this crazy world we live in.

How I live my faith

My faith in the Gospel defines me; I try to live it every day by sincerely praying, studying my scriptures, fulfilling my callings, and growing in love for those around me. Right now, my focus is to be the best missionary I can be, before I ever leave on my mission. I attend my weekly meetings, and look forward to partaking of the sacrament each and every Sunday. I also love attending Institute; I have learned a great deal from those willing to share their knowledge with me. My faith in Christ provides a rock to anchor my life around. The Gospel provides so much protection to those who live it and are obedient and faithful in keeping the commandments. As we grow in the Gospel, it is our responsibility to share that knowledge and joy with our brothers and sisters around us. What a blessing it is to know that we have a perfect example and savior in our Lord Jesus Christ. I love him with all my heart, and I strive to grow closer to him each and every day.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Sarah Hash
The Book of Mormon is another witness of Jesus Christ. It was written by ancient prophets, and translated by a modern day prophet, Joseph Smith. It contains the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and tells of his visit to the America's after his death. The Book of Mormon truly is the "keystone" of our religion, and I love reading and studying from it's pages. Show more Show less
