Hi I'm Gary Mason

I live in Birmingham UK with my wife and two daughters, the older three children have left home and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have five children, the oldest three of which have left home and have families of there own. We are blessed with two grandchildren and a third on the way. I served my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints in the London SOuth Mission and then following an accident resumed my mission after recovery in the Manchester Mission. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and am so grateful for the strength and comfort it provides me and my family in times of conflict and confussion around the world today.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member because I read the book of mormon and I prayed to ask God if it was true, I received a personal and undeniable witness that this is the true church of God on the earth today. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a Bishop in the Wylde Green ward of the Lichfield Stake. I have the privilage of working with the ward youth programme containing young men and young women aged from 12 - 18yrs old and once a month I get to teach them how they can be good examples amongst their friends and stay out of trouble, I also get to work with the full time missionaries within our ward and meet with people who are searching for direction and finding Christ into their lives. I have also the opportunity in looking after the Elderly Couples or those that are widowed or are single or simple those that are in need to be uplifted and strengthened by fellow brothers and sisters. We meet every Sunday from 9.30am till 12.30pm where we have opportunity to partake of the sacrament and renew our covenants,
