Hi I'm Ian Kelly

I'm an actor and singer from Seattle. I sing in a barbershop quartet with my three older brothers, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ian Kelly. I have four brothers, three of which I sing with in a barbershop quartet called "Momma's Boys". The last year I have gone to school studying vocal performance. Prior to that I spent two years on cruise ships traveling all over the world performing in a men's quartet for Celebrity Cruise Lines. I'm also an avid sports fan. I follow intensely, possibly to a fault, the Seahawks, Sounders, and Mariners.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a second generation Mormon on my mom's side and a third generation Mormon on my dad's side. When I was 17 most of my family decided to not continue to go to church. I in turn fell away from the truth and peace it brings. When I was 20 a good friend of mine invited me to a church activity here I found the warmth and peace I had missed so desperately in my life. Although half of my family does not practice, I continually am blessed by their love and support. The greatest reason I am Mormon is because of the knowledge I have of the power of love. Their is no greater love than that of God, and no greater way we can share that love then to serve each other. Christ was a being of pure love and service. His church is also that way. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is his church. As I continue to keep his commandments and walk in his path, I know I will be the happiest I could ever possibly be.

How I live my faith

I try my best to be like Christ. I try to be charitable, humble, loving, and accepting. One way I've shown my devotion to God is by serving him as a missionary. In August of 2014 I will leave for two years to serve the people of Philadelphia, PA. Although at the age of 24 I will be one of the older missionaries, I find myself most happy and at peace when I am serving God's children.
