Hi I'm Jeff Wilding

I grew up in a little Idaho town. I love food. I love sports. I love to serve in my community and enjoy having fun. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I was student-body president my senior year in high school and loved having the opportunity to serve my school. I love playing soccer and am a fan of every sport especially college football. I also was a videographer for my high school basketball team in which I produced game footage for players and coaches to study. My family and friends are very important to me. My favorite memories have come from doing fun and crazy things with them. I love them very much. I try my best to love the little things in life even down to the smell in the air. I love the spirit felt at Christmas time and try to carry that spirit all year. The silence of snow falling is one of my favorite things to experience. I enjoy being in the outdoors and being able to take in all of creation. I am currently serving in the California Roseville Mission which is the best mission in the world. Upon completing my service to the Lord, I will be studying at Brigham Young University (BYU) to hopefully become a sports therapist specializing in athlete-injury recovery. I have a firm knowledge that everything works out the way it is supposed to and this gives me comfort.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the gospel and know that I am as happy as I am because of it. I know that our Heavenly Father wants us to be happy and that is why he gives us blessings and trials. Through our challenges we can learn from them and commit to improve because of them. I have learned that we are capable of doing hard things. If we need help, He will give us the means necessary for us to accomplish the task at hand. It may not happen when we want it to, but it will come when we are ready to receive it. I have been given so much and I know that the people placed in my life have been put there because my Heavenly Father knows that they can help me be the best that I can be and hopefully I can help them to the best of my ability. There are things that I do not understand, but that is where faith comes in. I know that if I try my best and do what I am supposed to, I will be rewarded. Mistakes happen, but we can fix them through repentance and commitment. I know that everyone is a child of God in which each of whom has incomprehensible potential. Our Heavenly Father loves us and that is why He wants us to succeed.

How I live my faith

I have served in many leadership roles in my area. I served as a spirit leader as well as student-body president in high school. I was also the president of the my schools National Junior Honor Society. In church, I have been in several young men's presidencies. I have also been selected for youth counsels and committees to help plan activities for school and church functions. I have always tried to be an example to those around me. If someone needs help, I want to be able to serve them. So far on my mission I have come to love people who have all sorts of backgrounds and stories. They are my brothers and sisters.
