Hi I'm Sydney

I love Arizona summers. I'm a BYU student. I'm a cotton candy ice cream fanatic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Provo, Utah to beyond awesome parents. Soon after I moved to the Valley of the Sun (Arizona) and made lifelong friends and great examples that supported me in my faith. I have always had a competitive drive and a love for sports and it didn't take long for me to find a passion for volleyball. I played club volleyball and varsity sports through high school. After graduation from high school I moved to Utah and attended BYU for a year studying exercise science. I am now preparing to serve a full time mission and can't wait to share the gospel with my brothers and sisters living in the Honduras Tegucigalpa Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because livign this gospel brings so much happiness and joy in my life. It is not always easy to be a member of the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-Day Saints but time and time again throughout my life it has proved to be worth it. The blessings of following the example of Jesus Christ and the guidance of living prophets on the earth today are immeasurable. Our Heavenly Father truly loves and knows each and every one of his children and I feel His love for me daily as I do the things that He would have me do.

How I live my faith

While going to school in Utah I was able to be apart of the family history and indexing committee. I had the opportunity to help those around me find out more about there ancestors. One of the individuals in my group was from Japan and had never searched anything about his family history. I had the opportunity to show him different ways through the Family Search website that he could learn more about his history. He found roots in Canada, Japan and many other coutries. It was a really cool thing to see this Japanese freind of mine get so excited finding out so much information about his ancestors that he didn't even know.
