Hi I'm Laura Rebekah

I love the military life-style. I'm a future astro-photographer, a Family History Consultant, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest child of eight kids. I grew up all over the western side of the United States but I like to call Nebraska my home. I love photography and singing and pretty much almost any art form. But I'm pretty good at math and science too. The universe amazes me (there's the science part), so when I combine my artistic side and scientific side, I get my future career: astro-photography. Capturing the beauty and the worlds that our Father in Heaven has created is my dream.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of this church has helped me in unimaginable ways. I really have no clue what I'd be like without the gospel. I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I feel a surety, peace, and safety at an LDS church building that I feel no where else. I love my family and I know I have family all over the globe through the church. I don't have to find a new church every time my intermediate family moves (which is a LOT thanks to the military). Joining this church is common sense to me. Why wouldn't someone want hope, love, knowledge, and so much more?

How I live my faith

I make sure that all my friends outside of church know my standards. When they laugh at something on the internet and I start wondering over to look, they block my view (on purpose) and tell me that I'd probably cry if I saw it. Or something to that extent. :) I try to get others excited to do Family History and take the names they find to the temple. It's truly a blessing to see the joy on my friends' faces when they find something cool in their line. We jump around and squeal together as they discover who they are. I have siblings that aren't here on this Earth. Knowing that I will be reunited with them and countless other family members when I die is a light that fills my life. I want to set a good example for my siblings and friends. I know that the right example is Christ's example for us. When they can't seem to see Christ in their lives, I hope that I help them find Him again.
