Hi I'm Justin

I grew up in Missouri. I have a love for sports and my family. I'm a Mormon

About Me

My family is something that has always been important to me. With 4 siblings it can sometimes get crazy but it is always fun. Growing up my parents introduced me to sports and I have continued to play them completely since that time. During my time in high school I decided to focus primarily on two sports which are football and basketball. My love for sports has introduced me to some of my best friends along the way and helped us build a special bond. Other then sports, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, going to the lake, and finding time to serve and help other people.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people ask me this question. They sit on the outside and think that it would be hard because all the rules that they see. However, I know that those rule or guidelines are there to help us and make us a better person. As I prepare to leave to serve a mission for the church I have been blessed with a knowledge that the restored gospel provides us endless happiness. It allows us to change the lives of others by bringing them the gospel and letting them know of the blessings they can receive. Nobody ever said serving a mission would be easy but I know it will be worth it. Not only will I be helping others but I will be helping myself. My testimony will grow as I share it. I know that true happiness comes from Jesus Christ and that by his atonement we can have eternal life. Nobody is perfect but through the atonement we can become like Christ.

How I live my faith

Considering the church is a lifelong church filled with accountability there are many ways that I choose to live my faith. One of those things is choosing to serve a mission. Giving up two years of your life to serve the Lord seems like such a long time. However, if you think about it, two years is worth the eternity you will receive in return. Other ways I live my faith is by being a righteous example. Removing myself from harmful or inappropriate situations. Also, by keeping the Sabbath day holy. Sunday are a day of rest and from a young age I made the decision that no matter what I would not participate in recreational activities on that day.
