Hi I'm Krystal Coke

I grew up in the beautiful state of Colorado. I love my family, sports, and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always been the sporty girl who knew how to play sports better than the guys and could also walk in heels. I love soccer, lacrosse, rock climbing, running, basketball, music, and reading. I am the second oldest of four kids however I am the oldest girl. Family is extremely important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I know this church is true . I know Heavenly Father loves me and has a plan for me. I know that if I live right and keep the commandments that I will be blessed and my future family will be blessed as well. I am a Mormon because I love my Father in Heaven with all my heart. I love him so much that I can make the small sacrifices like visiting teaching, callings I have, and making time for the people I love. I am a Mormon because there is nothing I want more than to be with my family happily for eternity. I know this gospel is true because I have read the Book of Mormon and still read over and over again and I have felt the sweet spirit testify of its truth to me. I am a Mormon because though I am imperfect I know I can become perfect through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because of the strong support system this church provides. I am a Mormon not because I was raised in the church and I don't want to hurt my family by not going but because I know in my heart that this is the true gospel. My testimony is simple. I love my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I was raised in the church and was always pretty obedient. Of course I am human so I make mistakes but I have always known in my heart how much our Heavenly Father loves us and loves me regardless of my decisions. Growing up it was hard for me to keep an eternal perspective but now that I am older and know what I want and who I want to be it comes pretty naturally. I have had callings in my youth such as a mia maid counselor or stake youth committee and I am so grateful for those opportunities to serve. They helped me develop great skills as I interact with people and stay organized. Currently I am called as the Reactivation Co Chair in a Young Single Adults Ward. I love teaching and being taught by the people who are around me. I know we can all learn so much from each other and ultimately by the spirit. I live with faith by staying positive and understanding that though life has many trials if I follow the commandments I know I will receive blessings from Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants what is best for us. And I love myself and want what is best for myself as well. I would often think that common question "Why me?" and now I know the answer. Things don't always happen because we are being punished. They happen because we go through this test of life to learn and help others. Because we are strong and we have Heavenly Father to turn to when we need help.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Krystal Coke
I wasn't always that great at reading my scriptures just because I thought I was so busy and would often fall asleep before even thinking about reading. Thank goodness that bad habit has changed. I have learned that as I read my scriptures I am in such a better mood. I feel Heavenly Fathers love and I just feel happy. I have more direction and feel peace in my heart. I read to find comfort because reading and praying invite the spirit into my life. We have been commanded multiple times by several different prophets and apostles to read. Something I have learned is rather than just reading to read but reading with a question in mind really helps. I always start off with a prayer and sometimes sing a hymn to myself just because it helps to get my mind in the right place as I prepare to receive promptings. I know as we follow the commandments and read our scriptures even if it is a verse each day that we will be more happy and can find peace and joy in our every day lives regardless how bad things might seem.
