Hi I'm Dr. Ronald R. Zollinger

I'm a Mormon and am unequivocally proud of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

My wife and I are parents of seven wonderful children and (last count) twenty grandchildren. I am currently retired. I enjoy working in my award winning yard and flower garden. I enjoy sports, especially basketball, skiing, and scuba diving. My grandchildren think I can fix anything in my metal/woodworking shop. My wife and I enjoy traveling throughout the world, cruises, and using our motor home to vacation with our extended family. I have Bachelor, Master, and Doctorate degrees. Since retiring, I have published three books within the arena of religious doctrine and theology.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I have been raised within the LDS faith, I have studied seriously its doctrines, principles, and its history. I have also extended my theological interest by pursuing a study of the various denominations of Christianity as well as the other major religions of the world. I have read the Koran and other scriptures held sacred within these world religions. I have performed this study to not only gain an appreciation for the beliefs and theology of others in the world but to help confirm personal convictions associated with my testimony of the truthfulness of the Restoration and the establishment of the return of Christ's true church found within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This testimony is the product of three domains of experience. The first domain comes from being a faithful member of this church. I witness to the fruit of membership as experienced by faithful members of this Church. I also witness to the wonderful quality of life that I have personally received. Truly, "by its fruits ye shall know. . ." Secondly, I have confirmed through my study that the logic, internal consistency, and foundational doctrines and principles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are, in fact, those that are of Christ and His true Church. Lastly, I have received both of the "still, small voice" as well as the voice "as of thunder" coming from the spirit of the Holy Ghost confirmation that God the Father and Jesus Christ, His Son did appear to the boy, Joseph Smith. I also witness that through the Restoration of the Gospel, God restored the role of prophetic revelation giving us additional sacred scripture found in the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price. The Restoration also restored the full organization of Christ's true Church back upon the earth complete with apostles and prophets, as well as all other functions, powers, and authorities to assist in the work of the salvation of the human family.

How I live my faith

I live in a wonderful neighborhood and community. As such, I try to invest in opportunities to add to this "spirit of place." I am chairman of our local Yard and Garden Civic Committee which promotes beautiful yards, productive gardens, and a decorative holiday spirit. I am deeply devoted to my religious community serving within my LDS church as well as extending service opportunities to my neighbors and friends who are not of my religious faith. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I served in various leadership positions as well as teaching assignments. As a neighbor, I try to be a good one.
