Hi I'm Hesh

Born in the Philippines, Grew up in Perth Australia. Preparing to serve in the Philippines Baguio Mission.

About Me

I was born in the Philippines, but I grew up in Perth Australia. I was brought up in the Church, so my testimony has a very firm and strong foundation as I have felt the spirit play a part in my life several times. Other than that I'm pretty much a very average person, my interests are sports, namely basketball and volleyball, and my studies. In the future I'd love continue my studies of Physics and Astronomy, as well as find a wife after I finish my service as a Missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the Church, so in a sense I did not have a choice being brought up in the gospel. But during my high school years and my first year in University, I had the choice to leave the Church for good and move on with my life as I pleased. So for a while I became idle, I ignored the Church and my responsibilities and did whatever I wanted, as a result I chosen to forget all that God has given me, I chose to forget the feeling of the spirit. Because of this I was closer to the adversary than ever before, and I could feel his embrace, I could feel myself becoming miserable like him, however I was hardheaded and blindly blamed the Church for my misfortunes. After counsel and guidance from my bishop I was able to recognize that the adversary was the puppeteer behind my misery, and this is what made me come back to Church. If there is a Devil, and there must be a God, I knew this, but I did not believe it until then. After a long phase of time spent contemplating, pondering, and counselling, it was made clear to me that if the adversary was trying to stop me from being part of the one true Church upon this Earth, then he must fear the power I possess to cripple his army. And because of this and alot of other wonderful experiences I've had, I've come to the conclusion that if I do not serve a Mission in the Philippines on the 15th of August, not only would I regret it for the rest of my life, but also endanger the souls of those I would have taught. This gospel brings about happiness, and thus it is natural for people to share what makes them happy to everyone else, so that they may feel the same feeling, I believe two years to serve as a Missionary is but a small compensation for all the blessings I have received throughout my entire life.

How I live my faith

I try my best to help in anyway I can within my ward and my stake. My current calling is Ward Missionary, so on occasions I go out with the Missionaries in my ward and participate in teaching the families. Also every Tuesday or Thursday our ward goes out for rescue visits/normal visits to all those we did not see come to Church the previous Sunday.
