Hi I'm Hailey Jensen

I'm a soccer player. I attended school in Hawaii. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Ever since I was little I enjoyed playing all kinds of sports. I played soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, gymnastics, ran cross country and track, as well as took ballet and tap classes. I loved it all of course, but I eventually narrowed it down to club soccer and running. On a musical note, I played the violin in middle school and high school. I continued to play soccer at the college level in Hawaii, which I loved as well! There I began studying molecular biology and still continue to enjoy it! I have amazing parents and siblings-1 brother, 4 sisters. I have the best time coaching my younger sister's soccer teams with my dad!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being taught the truths of the gospel, but just like anyone else, I had to come to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was really Christ's church on the earth today. I set goals for myself to read the Book of Mormon before praying to know if it was true- so I did. After thoughtfully reading it in full, I prayed to know if the Book of Mormon was, in reality, another testament of Jesus Christ and the word of God. I felt an overwhelming feeling with a strength that I had never felt before. It was like my heart just knew it. I didn't need words to know that it contained truth because every part of me just simply knew that the answer was yes. I felt the most peace I had ever felt before and I could not stop smiling because, well, I felt happy. Truly happy. (And I wasn't an unhappy person before.) I know that this is Jesus Christ's restored church on the earth today and I want to share it- every single day of my life because I just want people to be happy. I know that by turning our hearts to our Heavenly Father and accepting His will, we can be who we want to be and feel more happiness than we ever have before.

How I live my faith

I wish that I could say that I did extraordinary things to live my faith. But I have found the greatest joy in simple acts of service and in striving to live the way Christ did when he was on the earth. I prepare myself through scripture study, prayer, early morning seminary studies, and attending church, so I can be ready to bless others' lives with the knowledge of the gospel. I love applying the gospel to everyday life, sports, school and work because it helps me see how REAL the restored gospel of Jesus Christ truly is.
