Hi I'm Tyler

I've played guitar for 10 years. I love art and culture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born September 25th, 1995 and was given the name "Cory Tyler (Last Name Here)" and while the name is nice, having the exact same name as your father can get a bit confusing at times, therefore, I grew up with "Tyler" as my name and while technically it is not my legal name, it is my REAL name, in that it's the name that I have come to know and love and call my own. My childhood was just a regular boys childhood. Every summer I was outside with other kids, catching snakes and lizards and frogs, playing in the mud, shooting BB guns and generally doing the things that little boys do. Luckily, the age of electronics came just a year or so after I was through that part of my life and I am grateful that I was able to have a childhood that didn't involve sitting around staring at a screen all day. My parents divorced when I was fourteen, and at the time it didn't feel like too big of a deal. Now I see how it has shaped me as I grew up, for good and bad, and it is through this trial that I was forced to rely on the Lord for all things. I believe the experiences I have had have allowed me to better see the Hand of The Lord in all things, and for that I am very grateful. I play the guitar since I was eight years old. I love to paint, and draw, I love to cook, to read, to travel, and to experience the beauty of life. I love politics and speech and debate, and playing golf.

Why I am a Mormon

Alma 19:36 - "Thus... we see that his arm is extended to all those who will repent and believe on his name." This is my favorite verse of scripture, for when I read this I knew without any shadow of a doubt that this Church is true. My prayers were answered. Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God and I know that he did restore Christ's church on the earth. I know of God's love for me, and I know that he knows me personally. I have a testimony that prayers ARE answered, and I have seen the Hand of God work wonders in my life. I know that true happiness comes only from the gospel of Jesus Christ, and, most of all, I can stand here and unequivocally say that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World - that he died for me, that he suffered "both body and spirit" for me so that I could be saved, and that we all would not have to partake of the bitter cup that he willingly took upon himself. I know that through him and him only does salvation come.

How I live my faith

To say it simply, I love the gospel with all my soul. I will be serving a full time Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (the Mormon Church - this church) and I hope to be able to bring others to Christ and help them have the happiness I know only the gospel of Jesus Christ will bring.
