Hi I'm Sloan

I grew up in Utah. I'm 18 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a pretty big family. I like hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, riding snowmobiles, wakeboarding, and pretty much every sport. I am currently getting ready to serve a mission in Quito, Ecuador. When I return from mission I plan on attending Weber state University, and later on going to the University of Utah to study Mechanical Engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

I, like most people from Utah have been a Mormon my whole life. Growing up in the church, I feel like I never really had a very strong testimony for myself. I thought it was true but I wasn't very sure of it. One day I decided I was sick of questioning and not knowing for sure that this is the true church, so I prayed very hard, harder than I ever had in my life. Then I sat down and read the Book of Mormon for a few hours. While I was reading my answer just came to me and I felt the spirit so strong and I knew without any doubts that this is the Lords true church and that Joseph Smith is a true prophet who saw Heavenly Father and Jesus and spoke with them. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of god and I am so Grateful to know this for myself.

How I live my faith

I love the Lord, and I love his gospel. I try to show this everyday by living the church's standards and trying my hardest to do what I think the lord would want me to. I also try to serve others whenever possible. It makes me happy and I can feel the saviors love for me when I do.
