Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am serving a full-time mission in Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am from the Salt Lake City, Utah area, and have been a member of the LDS church my whole life. I am a missionary in the Honolulu, Hawaii Mission. In high school, the main things that interested me were sports. I loved basketball, football, and golf, and most of my time was spent participating in those three events. After my mission I plan on going to BYU, but I am still unsure of what I want to study there. Although I am unsure what is in store for my after my mission, I know that through my faith the Lord will lead me in the right direction!

Why I am a Mormon

Since I have been a member of this church my whole life, there isn't really one distinct point in my life where everything changed for my and I was converted, but instead my conversion happened slowly over time. I wasn't really noticing it at the time, but day by day my testimony was growing inside of me as I shared it and truly came to know for myself that this Gospel was true. I am so thankful for this church in my life, because I can see the blessings it gives every single day. I've noticed that I am just overall happier than some of my other friends, and it seems that they just have something missing in their lives. It is comforting to know where we came from, and where we are going after this life, and without that knowledge I would be very confused and worried about what happens next. Without this church, I would be a completely different person, and not somebody who I would want to be.

How I live my faith

In my life, I have had numerous opportunities to serve others and make a difference in my community. I have earned the Eagle Scout Award, and on the pathway to achieving that I had to serve and serve and serve some more. The main project that I did not only helped out my community, but hugely benefited another country! I had to opportunity to collect disposable diapers that were eventually sent to Haiti after they had the big earthquake over there. I have learned that through service, everybody is able to come together to get things done and in the end everybody feels good about it.
