Hi I'm Erika

I'm a small-town farm girl. I love music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on an orchard farm where I worked my whole life. We grow tart cherries, apples, and peaches. I come from a strong LDS family with 6 kids. I am the second child and oldest girl. I was born in the LDS church and I love being a Mormon. I played sports in high school: basketball and soccer. I have played the piano since I was 5 and I love music. I have been to a year of college in northern Utah at a great university. My current major is math and statistics education. I love being outdoors and staying active. I have a very large extended family and I am very close with all of my cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and baptized when I was 8 years old. Before I gained my own testimony of this great church, I was a Mormon because of my parents. As I have gotten older, I have realized that this church and this gospel is the best thing for my life. This gospel brings so much happiness, peace, comfort, hope, and strength. I don't know where I would be without it. I continue to follow Jesus Christ for selfish reasons, really. I want to be at a place where I am the happiest and the best me I can be, and this gospel and this church brings me the most happiness. I have experienced life without the gospel and have many influences in my life that don't have the blessing of the gospel. I have noticed their constant search for something more and I wouldn't want to be where they are. I am very grateful for this gospel and the blessings it brings in my life.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve a mission for 18 months in the Florida Fort Lauderdale Mission, spanish speaking. I have recently been a family home evening group leader in my singles ward at college. In the past I have had many callings in my youth groups. I am very excited to serve the Lord in my new calling as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
