Hi I'm Anderson

I'm currently serving a mission in Minnesota!

About Me

I am 19 years old and I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in the Minnesota Minneapolis Mission! I recently graduated high school and enjoyed playing sports such as Football and Track. Other hobbies I enjoy are target shooting, fly-fishing, hiking, and enjoying the beautiful mountains. I have been a Mormon my whole life and have been extremely grateful for the guidance and direction that this church brings.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church my whole life. But there comes a time when you need to find out for yourself whether or not what you have been taught your whole life is true and if you are willing to do the things that are asked of us as members. If you rely on just what you have been told by your parents you are not truly invested into what you say you believe and will eventually no longer have a desire to follow the church and our prophets. The only way that you can truly know whether or not this church is the true Church of Jesus Christ is to read the book of Mormon and pray about what you have read. There comes a time when you need to find out for yourself. It doesn’t matter if you are a member or not if you are trying to decide on what you should do you need to pray and act on the feeling that you feel as you are taught of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It wasn’t until I was 14 or 15 until I finally wanted to know if what I had been doing my whole life was important to me. I remember being told that I needed to read and pray if I ever needed to know something. And so I gave it a try. And I didn’t receive my answer right then and there but I remember later that week during a lesson in church a sense of reassurance that what was being taught was true and good things to follow. Since that time I sadly cannot say that I have never had another thought on whether or not this church is true, because I have. And when that happens don't just give up. Remember the Blessing that come from living the gospel and keeping the commandments. Always remember to pray sincerely when you need to know something. If you truly want to know God will let you know that this is the one and only true church.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and go to partake of the sacrament and receive the blessings that come from it. I have notice when I go into sacrament meeting with the goal of wanting to learn more and open to what is being spoken that I will be able to get more out of it and not find it to be "boring". I have found this same thing to be true in Sunday school and young mens.
