Hi I'm Kim

I am a wife and mother of 6 children. I live in Utah, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I met at BYU and were married 29 years ago. I studied piano there and received my Associates degree while my husband finished his law degree. We lived in Mississippi for a year and then returned to Utah and have been here ever since. We have 6 children that range from 13-25 years old. We have "book end" boys and 4 girls in the middle. Our oldest 2 children are married and we have another daughter getting married in August. One daughter will be attending college in the fall and that leaves 2 at home, one a junior in high school and one in 8th grade. When I'm not busy with my family, I enjoy piano, singing, and scrapbooking. I have had a lot of experience doing things in the music field like accompanying and choir directing, which have been something I really enjoy. I also thrive on making things and events special for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all of my life and was baptized when I was 8 years old. I have chosen to continue to be a member because of the strong testimony I have of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true and knowing this and living it brings me more happiness than I could ever imagine. I know my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ live, and that they hear and answer my prayers. As a wife and mother, I need this guidance and comfort in my life at all times. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it also helps me in my daily life. I know Joseph Smilth was a prophet that helped restore the Church and that Pres. Thomas S. Monson leads the Church today. I know he tells us what God would have us know. I can't imagine what my life would be without this knowledge or where I would be. I love it with all of my heart and I try my best every day to be and do what my Savior would want me to do.

How I live my faith

I am currently our ward choir director and music chairman and I take care of a lot of the music in our ward meetings. I am also a visiting teacher of which I enjoy doing because it helps me make a lot of closer friends in the ward and neighborhood.
