Hi I'm Dianne

I was born in Illinois. I was raised in a military family, so I grew up in many places. I am a wife and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Rantoul, Illinois. I was raised in a family with 10 children. My father was in the Military so we traveled and lived in many places around the world. We lived in many states and lived in the Azores and Germany. Traveling has always held a special place in my heart. I attended Brigham Young University. I married a great man and have four wonderful children. I currently have three grandchildren and would gladly welcome more. Grandchildren are so much fun and they are a joy in my life. I love to do family activities together. I also like to cross stitch, read, cook, and spend time in nature. I love holidays and I enjoy decorating and doing fun holiday activities. I love working with children. I do the crossing guard at a local Elementary School. I also volunteer with the school reading program. I love animals and have a great Golden Retriever mix dog named Annie. Life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints a few years before I was born. I have been raised with the Church being a major part of my life. As a teenager I knew that I had to gain a testimony of my own. I prayed, read scriptures and tried to follow the Prophet of the Church. The Prophet of the Church at that time was President Spencer W. Kimball. Following a General Conference where he spoke I decided to put his words to the test. I wrote down what he told us as Church members to do. I really tried to live what he suggested. I fervently prayed with a desire to know the truth. Reading scriptures became more heartfelt. Following the Prophet's counsel really changed my life for the better. I felt the Spirit very strong. I was reading the New Testament at the time and learning more about the Savior helped me to become closer to Him. I felt that the Holy Ghost bore testimony to me about the truthfulness of the Gospel. As I lived with more purpose and meaning, I grew stronger in my faith, testimony and knowledge. As I have continued to live the Gospel I have many witnesses of the truthfulness of the Church. One way was from reading the Book of Mormon. I have prayed about the truthfulness of the book. I know that it is true. I have felt the Spirit strong as I have prayed and know that it was a witness from God to me. I am so thankful for the Savior and a loving Heavenly Father. I have enjoyed gaining further knowledge from going to the temple and making sacred covenants. My life is good and the Gospel has made me a better and a happier person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying hard to follow my Savior, Jesus Christ. I fall short, but know that I can make changes to improve and grow. I serve in my church by trying to fulfill callings I have been asked to do. I currently teach a Primary class of 5 and 6 year olds. They bring so much joy because they are smart, funny and happy. In the past I have worked in callings serving with women, youth and children. I enjoy learning from those I serve with. I try to be a good example by being dependable, honest, caring and working hard.
