Hi I'm Celestial Hunt

Born and raised in Samoa. Served as a full-time missionary in the ZION AUSTRALIA ADELAIDE MISSION and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old, currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Australia Adelaide Mission. I love basketball, volleyball and playing piano. I studied Bachelors in Arts majoring in English at the National University of Samoa. I love serving people and especially being a friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I was baptized when I was eight years old. The reason why I am still a member of the church is because I have seen the blessings of the gospel in my life. I had times when I fell away from the teachings of the church, and I saw the difference it made. I seen how my family also benefits from the gospel, our relationship altogether is strengthened, we live happy and healthy, we love and support each other in every way. I love my family, and part of the reason why is because of the gospel. I am blessed to have the gospel in my life, with the knowledge that I know, I am a daughter of a loving Father in Heaven, that has a merciful plan for me and a purpose in life. I'm grateful to be a member of the Lord's Kingdom on the earth.

How I live my faith

I was a pianist for my ward, my stake primary before I left my for my mission. I have been blessed to continue to use this talent on my mission, in serving my brothers and sisters in this area. I was also a visiting teacher for our Relief Society back home, it was a privilege to reach out to the sisters of my ward and help them. As a missionary now, I love working to help people both physically and spiritually.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Celestial Hunt
No, The church teaches and encourages service for others. One way to serve is serving a mission. It is not a requirement for everyone, except the young men, but it is for the benefit of everyone. I know that service can be done even when I'm not serving a mission, but to actually serve a full-time mission, the Lord opens more blessings for those that sacrifice their time, talents and skills for His work. It is beneficial in a way that blesses me spiritually, I have great understanding about the gospel teaching especially living the gospel DAILY. I learn so much about myself, through the people I serve. I learn to be more grateful of the things I'm blessed with. I learn about life and prepares me for the future. I learn to rely more on my Heavenly Father than anyone else. I see the gospel in action every single day. I love serving a mission. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Celestial Hunt
We believe that there is a purpose to this life. Heavenly Father created an eternal plan of Happiness for all of us. Part of His plan, is to leave our pre-earth life where we lived with Him and come into this world to experience, to learn and to grow and to prepare ourselves to become like Him. In this mortal life, we learn from the trials and challenges that we face. These things help us to learn and become stronger people. Without challenges and difficulties we wouldn't learn, we wouldn't know what is the BEST choice. One of the greatest gifts our Father gave us was Free Agency, the freedom to choose between good and evil. If it wasn't for this agency, we would live happy lives throughout and wouldn't be able to learn and grow. We will all come to earth and live happily and all return back to Him, then there wouldn't be any point of this life. I'm grateful to learn about Heavenly Father's plan of Happiness, we all learned and knew this plan before we came to earth, He has provided a way for us to remember this plan, that is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When we Choose to live the gospel of Jesus Christ we will know and understand our purpose in this life. Show more Show less

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Celestial Hunt
The Atonement refers to the suffering of the Savior in the Garden of Gethsemane and also his death on the cross. All the things he has suffered for, and did for us, is for our benefit in this life and the life to come. This is the most important part of the Plan of Happiness that our Father in Heaven has presented for us. Without the Atonement, we cannot return back to live with him. This is the pure love of Christ for all of us, He did it because He knew WHO HE WAS. He was a Son of God. With the help of the atonement, succeeded by His Resurrection, we all can be resurrected and return to live with God. We can be forgiven of our sins when we repent. We can overcome the sorrow, pains and afflictions of mortality through the powers of the Atonement. I'm grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice. I wouldn't overcome my difficulties if it wasn't for the Atonement, I'm forever happy and grateful for it. Show more Show less
